Man Camp
STARRING PETE GARDNER, erik stocklin, raleigh cain,

Man Camp was shot in the Summer of 2018 on an ultra-low budget scale in the mountains of Colorado, went on to play at the Heartland, Austin, and Denver International Film Festivals, and was widely released by Gravitas Ventures in April of 2020 to a Rotten Tomatoes score of 100% Fresh.

Tangled Leash Films' first feature production, Man Camp was truly a labor of love and as independent as independent film gets. From sourcing funding, to seeking out name actors, to writing the script, producing, and overseeing post production, this film is the product of the sheer willpower of the Tangled Leash team intended as a calling card for our creative braintrust- proof that our brand of storytelling is viable in the marketplace even without large budgets or major studios already in our corner.

heaven help hatchinopee
SERIES - seeking development

When priests Father Matt and Father Paul find themselves in hot water for being pretty bad at priesthood, they're effectively banished to swampy Hatchinopee, Florida, where their only goal is to get back to their old parishes as fast as humanly possible.

For Father Paul, returning to his attempted rise in the church bureaucracy might finally make mom proud. Father Matt just wants to get back to a place with a half decent ethically sourced pour-over. Problem is, to get a gold star and get reinstated, they’ll have to eradicate a demonic invasion that has taken over the whole town.

Getting no sympathy, or even concern, from local priest (and prick) Father Gabriel, their prayers are answered when Father Paul’s devil-worshipping niece Belle gets sent to live with them. With no knowledge of the dark underworld, and desperate to get some successful exorcisms under their belts, they enlist Belle to mediate a few demon meetings in exchange for a good report to mom.

As the exorcisms continue, it quickly becomes clear that there is something bigger happening in Hatchinopee: something is connecting all of these possessions, and someone in the town is pulling the strings. Can this team of misfits uncover this devilish mastermind and get the literal hell out of this town?

NINE ONE Nunchuck
SERIES - seeking development

Most teenage outsiders turn to drugs or poems or some shit. Aiden turns to Dojo & Donut, a 2-in-1 donut shop and martial arts studio where he spends his afternoons punching and kicking a heavy bag that reminds him of his dad.

The place seems to draw in the misfits. Be it pent up housewife Jan, disgraced NFLer Brody, or mustard-stained polo guy Dirk. It also happens to be the hiding place of a once-legendary ninja master, now under the alias Master Gary, a gray-ponytailed, fried-dough eating sensei.

But when Aiden’s brash attempt to stop a burglary puts him in grave danger, a mysterious ninja comes to the rescue, leading Aiden to discover his sensei’s true identity.

With this knowledge, Aiden teams up with the other students to fight some crime of their own, hoping that Master Gary will find them worthy of becoming the next generation of ninja.

Ironically, a botched first mission that entangles them with one of Chicago’s most ruthless crime families leaves Master Gary with no choice but to come out of hiding and train these fools in hopes that they might survive the coming onslaught.
